Know Meditation
Meditation is based on an ancient knowledge that allows you to reach a unique state of mind called thoughtless awareness or mental silence.| From our early childhood we are taught to train our brain, to load it, to make it work. No one teaches us to relax our mind. Why not? During meditation, our brain gets its deepest relaxation, which charges our body and mind with a solid portion of energy. The effect of a meditation is clearly perceptible, ranging from pleasant relaxation to a powerful energy boost, and is just awesome. After you get your first meditation experience, your inner energy is awakened and will rise any time you sit down for meditation. Sometimes one can feel it physically going up the spinal cord like a cool breeze. Otherwise it occurs on the palms of the hands and on top of the head as a pleasant cool sensation (it can be warm in the beginning). |
The easiest way to get thoughtless is just to enjoy this cool breeze on top of your head and the thoughts will vanish on their own. The head becomes clear and the brain feels re-charged. At the same time you are totally aware of the world and what is going on around you.
The cool thing about meditation is that you can really make it your own. You can do it on your schedule, when, where, and how you want. You can live in modern times (not on some mountain in the Himalayas), meditate five minutes a day, and because of this, simply put, life is better. |
